I'm replying here because I don't want to deal with getting past the spam protection in a language I don't read.
I'm not crazy about the story. I don't think the narrator checked to see whether the same man was manager when his wife was killed.
The meteor wasn't the hand of God, but it was extremely low probability.
For whatever reason, I'm not concerned with whether it was science fiction, but it seemed to exist more to make a political point, or several political points, rather than to be enjoyable in any additional way.
